Aden RidgewayAden Ridgeway

Mr Aden Ridgeway is a member of the Gumbayyngirr Aboriginal people of Northern New South Wales.

He is the former Land Policy Manager with the NSW Aboriginal Land Council providing advice on matters concerned with common law Aboriginal "Native" title.

He has extensive experience on matters concerned with Aboriginal perspectives of land management, cultural property issues, Aboriginal land rights and community planning.

He has been a consultant to Aboriginal organisations on business planning and was involved in developing the Regional Plan for the socio-economic conditions of Aboriginal people in the Sydney Region.

Other matters of interest include his former role as an Aboriginal Assessor at the NSW Land Environment Court and being an executive member of the Sydney Regional ATSIC Council.

He is also a member of the Geographical Names Board of NSW, and a member of the Australian Museum Trust.

Mr Ridgeway is currently the Executive Director of the NSW Aboriginal Land Council.
