Exploring the South West Coast CLIENT The Marine Discovery Centre, Queenscliff PROJECT DESCRIPTION This CD-ROM project has been developed as a stand alone exhibit for a centre which deals with both tourists and school groups on a daily basis. The interactive concentrates on the tourism potential of the south west coast of Victoria as well as providing scientific information on the habitats and species of the area. The resource has been designed to allow for one on one interaction with an individual as well as providing for the centre staff to demonstrate and interact with school groups. The four broad pathways available are: the south west coast, habitats, species and activities. The activities allow users to test their knowledge. SOFTWARE USED Exploring the South West Coast was authored and programmed using Director 8.5. The interface was developed using Photoshop and all illustrations were generated using Freehand 9. Video was edited using our Media 100 edit suite and compressed as mpg video using Cleaner 5.
