History The supportive vision and ownership of Fraynework belongs to the Sisters of Mercy in Melbourne, Australia who see this work as a continuation of their 175 years of engagement in more traditional forms of education throughout the world; in higher education, secondary and primary schools, training facilities, adult education centres and kindergarten. This work of education continues today across the world through independent Mercy units working from refugee camps of newly displaced peoples to the most remote and economically disadvantaged peoples. Our urban based education facilities cater for a diverse range of cultural and educational needs. Each of these endeavours is inspired by the vision, faith and energy of the first Sister of Mercy, Catherine McAuley. Fraynework continues this tradition of responding to the new educational needs of our time through the use of the new technologies.
